The Manchester Weathercoat Company was originally formed in 1978 to provide a manufacturing service to high quality brands such as Burberry, Mulberry, Daks and Aquascutum. From our purpose built factory in Manchester, Lancashire, once the heart of the Industrial Revolution for traditional rainwear, we produce traditional raincoats for both ladies and gents. The production of our trench coat has over 120 separate manufacturing operations to produce the finished article; every single seam is pressed immediately after sewing and seamstresses hand sew the collar making this undoubtedly one of the most labour intensive coats produced today. For many years only a privileged few have enjoyed the exclusive Manchester Weathercoat brand with its distinctive check lining using over 30 years experience from manufacturing at the top end of the market.
