We (Mary and Tony) have been designing and illustrating for
most of our professional lives, and take inspiration from the endless diversity and beauty of nature and the countryside.
While pottery is a new medium for us, it is a direction we have been working towards for some time and we are very proud to have our designs produced in the traditional manner in the heart of the potteries in Stoke on Trent.
Blackbird Pottery is the culmination of all we hold dear and we hope that the pieces
bring at least a small flavour of our enjoyment of the countryside,
to all who hold them.
