Coachman - Caravan manufacturer

It's now over twenty years since we designed and built the first ever Coachman caravan. Our aim was to produce a tourer of the highest quality, which would meet our customers' requirements perfectly. We succeeded.
Here at Coachman we have a simple and clear objective - to produce caravans of the very highest quality. For us that doesn't simply mean a caravan that looks good in the showroom. Instead it's a caravan which continues to function perfectly and still looks fabulous after many years of faithful service.
How do we do it? That’s easy. First and foremost we stick to traditional, tried and tested methods of construction. Customer satisfaction is our top priority and we're simply not prepared to gamble with unproven technology. That said we're always on the look out for ways to improve and invest heavily in people and resources to ensure that we achieve our targets.
This year, for example, saw the completion of a £5M investment programme in our production facilities here in Hull, which are amongst the most advanced in our industry. We also believe that continuity counts and work closely with our suppliers to ensure that every component, in every Coachman caravan, is as good as it possibly can be. Switching to an unproven supplier to save a few pounds simply doesn't make sense to us.
Our obsessive attention to detail, combined with the very best of British craftsmanship, has been recognised by countless industry awards throughout the years. You can see and feel the difference as soon as you step inside. Our designers maximise space, emphasise comfort and put everything together with a true sense of style. You can tell immediately that Coachman caravans have been built with experience, enthusiasm and an overriding determination to produce the very best.

Buying BritishMade in Britian - A Stamp of Value & Quality is something we are increasingly seeing in our supermarkets of all places, as we all try to do the ‘right thing’ and support our British farmers, whilst reducing the carbon emissions which flying in fruit and vegetables from around the world causes, as the impact that carbon emissions has on our environment cannot be reversed.
So why aren’t we all supporting more British manufacturers, companies which are producing their goods ‘up the road’ not across the other side of the world.

William Turner - Master cutler

 About William Turner Cutlery
William Turner - Master CutlerIn 1887 the country celebrated Victoria’s Golden Jubilee, 50 years as Queen. One in four of the world’s population was a subject of the crown. William Gladstone was a prominent politician when William Turner started a business in Sheffield smelting and refining gold and silver. The company quickly expanded into rolling other metals and manufacturing cutlery. The majority of the company’s early production was supplied to other cutlers for finishing and sale under their own name. In essence, William Turner was the “cutlers’ cutler”.
William Turner founded the company in 1887 with his close friend Mr R.J. Brown. The company was first engaged in the refining and smelting of precious metals. William Turner had close links with the Sheffield community – he was a director of the Sheffield Wednesday Football Club and became Sheffield Lord Mayor elect in 1906 shortly before his death. He was succeeded by his son William Glasier Turner O.B.E, who was also a Director and Chairman of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club.
In the early 1930′s the company designed two of the classic Sheffield patterns Jesmond and Harley which are still, to this day, copied worldwide.
William Turner’s tradition as a master cutler lives on and the company continues to produce the highest quality Sheffield cutlery in Hallmarked Sterling Silver, Silver Plate and Stainless Steel. Each and every piece is individually guaranteed for the lifetime of the purchaser and all the patterns featured on this Website are timeless, possessing an elegance and quality that will never date.
Remember, there’s cutlery and there’s William Turner Cutlery, and by choosing Sheffield’s best, you are making an investment that will not only provide you with a lifetime of pleasure, but will serve generations to come.

Frank & Faith - Socially conscious clothing

Frank & Faith is a Dorset based, socially conscious clothing label launched in Autumn 2006 by fashion designer and buyer, "Faith", and her Chartered Accountant husband, "Frank". Our founding philosophy is that our clothes look beautiful and fashionable but are manufactured in an ethical and sustainable way.
Frank & Faith clothes will always use organic, recycled or sustainable yarns and fabrics, be made ethically, and with equal importance – will always be fashionable.
After working for many years for some of the biggest high street fashion retailers “Faith” decided there must be a more ethical and socially beneficial way of producing and manufacturing affordable fashion “savvy” clothing.
Our aim is to produce clothing ethically by manufacturing in Britain. The usage of our "Made in Britain" label further promotes locally produced goods and industries. This enables us to be sure our garments are made fairly, as all manufacturing falls under UK labour laws (including the minimum wage), EU labour directives and International Labour Organization conventions. In addition we can easily visit our factories to assess working conditions on a regular basis. This protects the Frank & Faith brand from “Sweat Shop” manufacturing.
Frank & Faith support and nurture small factories and businesses in Britain. These are often in areas of deprived communities with high unemployment. Our aim is to retain specialist skills fast disappearing in the British Isles. This also provides work for people who have trained to this skill set in the UK. A further benefit is the reduced environmental cost of transporting raw materials and clothing around the world. Our garments have significantly less “clothes miles” than many garments manufactured in the Far East.
