Nexen has announced that following fast on its decision to move its entire R & D programme from its manufacturing facility in Taiwan to the U.K. it has also decided to move the production of its successful "X" range to its home base at Lowestoft Suffolk.

Commenting on this significant move Tim Mason U.K. Managing Director said "We have an extensive programme of new models in the pipeline that are to be added to our existing range and we can now oversee and control the time taken to get these trucks from the development stage into full production. This will also meet the concerns of several major component suppliers being reluctant to release specialised development items to Taiwan given the proximity of China.

Armstrong Racing Motorbikes

The original 350cc CM36 Armstrong was first built in 1981, whilst the CM35 250cc machines were built in 1980, and are hence both eligible for (G1 P3) CRMC Post Classic & ICGP Classes. We will be campaigning both new 250cc & 350cc machines, now code named the CMR37 (following on from the factory model CMW37), in many events in late 2010 & 2011.

A number of modifications to the old CM36 engine have been made to improve reliability, performance and handling. Within the engine, the known troubled areas have been redesigned and modern materials & surface conditioning have been applied throughout the power train. The barrels are the very latest spec. only ever fitted the works machines. Many components have also been lightened to improve overall weight reduction. The clutch has been updated to the latest materials technology and is equiped with Kevlar friction plates as standard to aid power delivery and clutch longevity. The new frames are identical to the last of the works CMW37 type steel/alloy frame, fabricated to the highest quality in 4130 chromoly tubing, with alloy swinging arms. The new engines are built to the last works specification ensuring the new CMR37 exceeds the best technology available in the day fitted as standard today.

Handling & suspension have been uprated also, with the new machines gaining custom made fully adjustable Ohlins or Maxton rear units with front forks either being Maxton built double damped Ceriani's or "Marzocchi Replica" magnesium 35mm race forks, dependant on choice. Wheels are again optional, with either 18" spoked wheels, Marvic Morris 7 spoke, Campagnolo 5 spoke or Dymag 3 spokes 18" magnesium wheels as preferred.
